Project Blue Jeans Go Green

In collaboration with St. Mira's College of Pune, the IMPA Pune Chapter took part in the CSR initiative "Project Blue Jeans Go Green," which collected old denim pieces and repurposed them into sleeping bags for the less fortunate.

"A 2019 UN report stated that the clothing industry is responsible for 20% of water waste on a global level, and as per various reports, the dangers of the fast fashion industry are just rising. Therefore, recycling clothes is very beneficial as it helps in reducing pollution and environmental harm.

With this in mind, IMPA Pune members participated in the campaign by setting up collection points for other members to drop off their used denim clothing items and donate them to the college.  Additionally, it provided a chance to network with St. Mira's college's faculty members and teachers.

Kudos to the Pune Chapter Members for participation in the thoughtful initiative!
