Service of the Aged (Community Connect Services)

The IMPA members of Bangalore participated in the service of the Aged as part of the community connect services in the month of September.

The members included Leema Bernad Viji, Rose Peck , Shabana Khan, Niesa Kolakhe, Jasbir, Dilruba Aga, Manjusha Achar and Amita S. (All Image Consultants)

They spent the morning first half with the aged at the Little sisters of the poor, Bangalore.

They reached in early with their donation baskets that contained 25 packs of adult diapers and 110 packs of Potato chips as specified by Mother Helen who is in charge of the institution. They spent some time chatting with Mother Helen to understand the working of the home.

She said the home had healthy as well as ill aged who were not given the requisite care at their respective homes.

Every morning two nuns from the home walk all around Bangalore to beg for funds. The home is maintained because of the generosity of the donors who either donate food items or fund the other essentials. The premises are maintained very beautifully by the sisters. Image Consultants helped in the serving of food and participated in the prayers conducted by the residents. Some of them were involved in conversations with the aged at the home. The Kitchen staff thanked the consultants profusely for the assistance in serving the meal, efficiently. The feeling of giving and sharing love and care was truly overwhelming and emotional.
