At Tata Memorial Hospital

IMPA members, Ammisha Shah and Mamta Deval addressed a support group meeting at Tata Memorial Hospital on 20th June. The support group consisted of cancer patients (age group: adolescent and above) at various stages of their treatment, their care givers, volunteers and concerned staff including doctors. This support group meets once a month to share their problems, find answers to their questions and provide guidance and strength to each other.

Amisha and Mamta shared their personal experiences and transferred some of their positive energy to the group. They spoke about the importance of having a positive self-image, believing in oneself and having faith that everything happens for a reason and in the end it all works out for the best.

IMPA looks forward to working closely with the adolescents, those who are undergoing treatment and those who are survivors, over the coming weeks to help them improve their self-image, communication, inter-personal skills and overall confidence.
