World Menstrual Hygiene Day

This year, IMPA Chapters commenced a series of events and workshops in different cities to create and raise awareness about Menstruation Hygiene, sensitize the communities from the underprivileged backgrounds and speak up about it as a natural process and start having conversations around it.

According to a study by UNESCO, around 23 million girls drop out of schools when they get their periods because of a lack of hygiene products and awareness.

The stigma associated with Menstruation is also very real and women and girls are kept out of certain aspects of everyday life when they are menstruating.

Here are glimpses of sessions conducted in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Jaipur and Vadodara. These sessions got extensive media coverage.

Kudos to all the members who facilitated and conducted the sessions!
