The session on Wine Appreciation gave a chance to understand the journey from wine making to the most fun step of wine tasting. The workshop gave an in-depth knowledge on wine production, types of wines, food and wine pairing, storage and serving wines. As an Image Consultant, one can enhance the social experience and could use the knowledge as an ice breaker. We understood the common characteristics of different varietals by discussing flavor, aroma, acidity, structure, texture, and balance. The session helped the learners to become better tasters, to appreciate wine in a better way by discussing how they’re made, what they taste like and why. More takeaways included how to serve the wine, how to read the labels, how to pair the wine as a host were discussed by the facilitator Sanchit Arora.
