IMPA Mumbai Chapter Saree Styling workshop by Anu Malla was a super hit with an amazing feedback from participants.

Fantastic session curated and conducted by Anu for saree lovers. She showcased different styles, drapes, hacks with lot of takeaways for participants.

She took participants on a saree tour and introduce different weaves and sarees from various regions of India. She displayed sarees like Kasavu, Kotpad, Narayanpeth, Paithani, Gheecha silk, Kantha, Behrampur silk, Bomkai, Sambhalpur silk etc. Red flags / fashion faux pas for saree styles were briefed. She explained various ways to create saree style scales using familiar design elements like line shape, color, texture, fabric, pattern and added other design elements like pallu, blouses, necklines, borders and embellishments. She demonstrated various drapes & styles to create infinite looks from corporate to cocktail & casual to bohemian & athleisure & finished with festive & dressy looks which included double drapes, sarees with skirts, peplum, dusters, belts, tights and Kediyu. Overall the session was a perfect balance of knowledge sharing and practical demonstration. This kept the session engaging and enriching with lots of takeaways.
