Learning Event at a Handloom Studio

IMPA Pune Chapter organised an offline learning event at a handloom studio in Pune to celebrate National Handloom Day which falls on 07th August. The session was conducted by Handloom expert and studio owner – Ms. Neeta Deshpande.

She shared her knowledge about the different handlooms, weaves, embroideries & products that are made in different parts of our country along with her real-life experiences about her visits to the rural parts of our country & her interactions with the local artisans’. She also shared tips on Indian power dressing & accessories and how it will enhance the day to day corporate as well as casual dressing style & be creative too.

 The participants loved the session as well as the tour of the entire studio which was full of different varieties of colourful handloom fabrics, accessories, bags, shoes & handicraft products. The session concluded with a small quiz that was prepared by the expert for all the participants on the knowledge that she had shared about our handloom heritage.
 
It was a super successful session full of learnings & insights about India’s country's handloom heritage.
